This group will read When You Trap a Tiger by Tae Keller. This story is about a young girl who is taking care of her dying grandmother and encounters a magical tiger. While learning about Korean folklore, she hopes making a deal with the tiger can make her grandmother well. This Newbery Medal-winning novel is a hit with young people and has a great deal of learning to engage the readers, from geography to cultural beliefs and traditions, to historical significance of the role of folklore in the past and present. $100 includes your own copy of the book to keep, club materials, and 5 (2 hour) Saturday morning meetings (10AM- 12Noon) with instructor. Saturdays June 6th - July 11th (off July 4th)
